Justice for all?

“Fiscal cliff” session starts today

Louisiana legislators will convene at the Capitol today for the start of a 17-day session designed to address a $1 billion-plus fiscal cliff caused by temporary taxes that expire on July 1.

The governor’s tax plan

Gov. John Bel Edwards on Monday released his recommendations for averting next year’s “fiscal cliff,” and they hew closely to the ideas put forth by a legislative task force and other groups that have studied the tax structure.
