When will the regular session end?

At the beginning of the regular legislative session, Gov. John Bel Edwards and legislative leaders publicly discussed the need to end the session early, to allow enough time to consider revenue raising measures during a second special session.

Medical school leaders urge budget delay

Chancellors from LSU’s two medical schools pleaded with lawmakers on Tuesday to hold off on passing a 2019 state budget until the Legislature has another opportunity to consider additional revenue measures in a second special session.
