Ending DACA is bad for business

President Donald Trump is expected to withdraw Obama-era legal protections for more than 800,000 immigrants who arrived in the United States as children of undocumented parents. Many recipients of DACA, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, have lived in America for decades, building families, careers, and businesses.

The Medicaid program turned 52 years old this week. That’s how long it’s been since President Lyndon B. Johnson signed into law the unique federal-state partnership that finances health coverage that nearly 1.6 million Louisianans now depend on.
