Louisiana slips in Kids Count ranking

The Annie E. Casey Foundation released its annual Kids Count data book on Wednesday, and the news is not good for Louisiana.

A partial solution is not good enough

The end of the second special session of 2018 is less than a week away, and the only major revenue bill to advance to the Senate is House Bill 27, by Rep. Lance Harris.

Sabotage vs. sign-ups

Open enrollment for the federal health insurance marketplaces begins tomorrow. Analysts predict that President Donald Trump’s cuts to enrollment outreach, along with the confusion sown by repeated health care repeal bills, will lead to fewer people with health insurance.
