Thousands of low and moderate-income households in each Louisiana state house district benefit from the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Currently, Louisiana has one of the lowest state EITCs in the country at 3.5 percent of the federal EITC. Louisiana leaders support a stronger EITC as part of revenue package

A diverse group of community and nonprofit leaders representing hundreds of thousands of ordinary Louisiana citizens is asking the Louisiana Legislature to strengthen the Earned Income Tax Credit as part of its revenue deliberations.
