The article argues that while Louisiana needs the federal government’s help in solving its Medicaid funding shortfall, it also needs to look inward for a more balanced approach to dealing with the current budget crisis.

Painful cuts to essential programs can be curtailed or offset by generating revenue. Strategic tax reform would provide the state with a fairer, more productive tax system and the means to meet the growing needs of our citizens.

There are some interesting points in time in this article but I don’t know if I see all of them center to heart. There is some validity but I will take hold opinion until I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner as well
